Job Description :

Knowledge requirements:
A broad knowledge of networking and network equipment/operating systems with detailed experience with CISCO, Checkpoint and F5, Load balancer
Motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment as well as individually without direct supervision
Detailed knowledge of the OSI model, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies (STP, VTP)
Advanced troubleshooting skills within a data center or large enterprise network
Checkpoint & F5 CLI experience
Unix/Linux practical experience.
Tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, TCP Dump
Cisco CCNP, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE or F5 CA/CTS are highly preferable
Main duties:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate production problems per operations processes, affecting the network infrastructure
participate in team projects and project/technology transition
Identify and resolve chronic issues.
IOS upgrades of network devices like Switches, Routers, F5, Fortinet, Checkpoint.
Additional duties as required and possible assistance on Special Projects
Day to day operation and maintenance of the customer cloud network consists primarily of HPE, Cisco, Checkpoint and F5 devices but also Juniper
Creation of network documentation from the existing infrastructure, planned infrastructure as well as updating existing documentation.
Day to day specifics:
Routing and switching technologies and corresponding protocols(e.g. HP/Cisco)
IP services like ACL, High availability
Checkpoint Smart Center, Console, Defense and Workflow as well as Checkpoint CLI experience.
F5 Load balancer (LTM, GTM, APM), Chipers suits, iRule, HTTP/HTTPS, reverse proxy, SSL offload, DNS, CNAME, A & AAAA records configuration.
NAT // VPN setups//Encryption methods and technologies
MPLS Configuration
Experience in troubleshooting and fixing network issues.
